Become a Democratic Precinct Committeeman

1.  Find what voting precinct you are reside.   Map of current Yuma County voting precincts.

2.  See whether there is a vacant seat in your precinct.  List of current Yuma County Democratic Party Precinct Committeemen.

3.  Download and fill out the Precinct Committeeman Application

Note:  Only elected precinct committeemen have voting powers with elections held in the Primary Election in even-numbered years.  You may, however, become a nominated precinct committeeman in the interim.

What are the duties of a Precinct Committeeman?

-Formally, you are the contact between YCDP and the Democrats in your precinct. More practically, all PC’s serve all precincts.

-You attend most YCDP Central Committee meetings, held on the second Thursday of each month.

-You vote on items at the CC meetings and you vote—in person or by proxy–at periodic meetings of the Arizona Democratic Party.

-You volunteer, as available, for office staffing, fundraising events and, during election periods, Get-Out-The-Vote events like phone banking and neighborhood canvassing.
